Frequently asked questions

What type of wood is used for the stickers?

We use an ultra-thin 1/32" premium Cherry wood veneer. This allows us to capture the genuine warmth and texture of real hardwood in a format that is thin enough to be flexible, yet thick enough to maintain its beautiful natural grain.

Is the wood sustainably sourced?

Sustainability is at the heart of everything we create. Our veneer is sourced from responsibly managed forests in the American Midwest, where selective harvesting ensures the forest remains healthy and vibrant for generations to come. In a region where forest growth outpaces harvest by over 30%, your stickers are as kind to the earth as they are beautiful.

How do I apply my wooden sticker?

For the best bond, ensure your surface is clean, dry, and smooth. Simply peel the backing and press firmly from the center outward. We use a premium 3M adhesive that provides a strong, reliable hold for daily use.

Are they easy to remove?

Yes! One of the best features of our 3M backing is that while it holds securely, it is designed to be removable. If you ever decide to change things up, the sticker can be peeled off without leaving behind any sticky residue on your laptop, phone, or water bottle.

Are the stickers flexible?

Yes, our stickers are engineered to be flexible along the natural grain of the wood. We specifically cut our stickers so they are designed to bend horizontally, making them perfect for wrapping around curved surfaces like water bottles, tumblers, and journals.

Do you offer custom shapes, or just standard sizes?

Your imagination is the only limit. Utilizing precision laser cutting, we can contour your stickers into almost any custom shape—from intricate logos to organic silhouettes—without being restricted to standard circles or squares.

Can I see a proof before my order is produced?

Yes. We want you to love the final product. For all orders, we provide a digital proof for your approval to ensure the placement, sizing, and details are exactly where they should be before we move into production.

How long does production take?

We take pride in our "Made in the USA" speed and efficiency. For most orders, our standard production time is a swift 2–5 business days. While larger orders may take slightly longer, we always strive to get your products in your hands as quickly as possible.

Durability and Use

Are the stickers waterproof?

Our wooden stickers are designed to handle the splashes of everyday life. While they are water-resistant, we do not recommend leaving them submerged or wet for long periods. For items like water bottles, gentle hand-washing is the best way to ensure the wood and adhesive remain in perfect condition.

Will the sun fade my sticker?

This depends on the style you choose. Our UV Printed stickers use industrial inks that are highly resistant to sunlight and will remain vibrant even with outdoor exposure. Our Engraved stickers, being natural wood, can experience slight fading or "mellowing" if left in direct, long-term sunlight for extended periods.

How do they age over time?

We love how our stickers evolve with use. While our UV Printed stickers are engineered to stay crisp and colorful for the life of the product, our Engraved stickers will naturally develop a beautiful patina. Over time, the natural cherry wood will deepen in character, giving the engraving an authentic, weathered look that only real wood can achieve.

Are they dishwasher safe?

Because wood is an organic, porous material, the heat and high-pressure water of a dishwasher can be a bit too intense. To keep the wood grain looking its best and the adhesive bond strong, we recommend a quick, gentle hand-wash.

Can I use these outdoors?

Our stickers are exceptionally tough and perfect for gear like water bottles, coolers, and laptop cases. However, we don't recommend them for long-term vehicle use, as constant exposure to harsh weather and road salts can accelerate the natural aging process of the wood.

Product Questions

Will the colors fade over time?

No. We use industrial-grade UV inks and a premium matte clearcoat that are instantly "cured" with ultraviolet light. This process creates a permanent bond with the wood, resulting in a professional finish that is highly resistant to fading and UV damage, even with daily wear.

How accurate are the colors compared to my digital file?

We utilize high-end Mimaki UV printers to achieve exceptional color depth and precision. For the highest level of accuracy, we recommend providing Solid Coated Pantone colors with your artwork, allowing us to match your design to our physical formula guides. Please keep in mind that most monitors are not calibrated for print, and wood is a natural, "warm" material; however, our goal is always to produce a vibrant, faithful representation of your vision.

Does the wood grain show through the print?

By default, we print a "white base" layer beneath your design to make colors pop with total opacity. However, if you are looking for a truly rustic or "stained" aesthetic, we can print directly onto the wood without a base layer, allowing the natural Cherry grain to peek through your artwork.

Is the ink waterproof or scratch-resistant?

The UV curing process makes our inks incredibly resilient. While we don't recommend taking your sticker for a swim, the matte finish is water-resistant and stands up beautifully to the typical scratches and scuffs of everyday use.
